Aladdin-Print Printing House has a design studio that creates print design for future printed products
Print design is the creation of professional visual layouts for any printed products: from business cards and brochures to catalogs and promotional materials. This type of design is suitable for businesses, brands, and companies that need high-quality, recognizable, and effective printed materials to present their services, products, or events.
You may already have an idea — clear or somewhat vague. Perhaps you have text, a logo, and a rough idea of colors. Or maybe just a printout from last year and the thought: "I want something similar, but better."
In any case, design is necessary. Design that looks great not only on the screen but also in print. Design that won’t ruin the impression with blurry photos or broken fonts. Design that gets done right the first time, without endless revisions.
You can take several approaches:
- Try to do everything yourself — if you know Photoshop or Canva well, or are familiar with ChatGPT (if using Canva, the paid version is better for print, but still requires adjustments).
- Hire a freelancer — possibly even a very talented one.
- Or entrust the work to those who not only "make things look pretty" but work alongside printing machines, know production technologies, and are skilled with artificial intelligence.
Our printing house has a print design studio — a team that creates layouts for subsequent printing. These are not just designers — these are specialists who:
- know production technologies and use artificial intelligence;
- consult and support you at all stages;
- create layouts ready to be sent directly to print.
Aladdin-Print print designers: how to work with them
We organized the process to be convenient at any stage — whether you want to work in person or remotely. In each collaboration option, three specialists are involved:
- Consultant, who helps you navigate products and materials;
- Manager, who coordinates the entire process;
- Designer, who creates the layout.
Designer Services
📌 Step 1 — Contact
Reach out to us via any convenient channel — all contacts are listed on the website — or visit our branch in Kharkiv.
The consultant will clarify which product you need, where and how it will be used, and provide initial advice on materials and printing methods. They will also check whether online or offline work is more convenient.
Your request will be registered in the queue, and as soon as a manager becomes available, they will contact you immediately.
📍 How the online format works
The manager will contact you via a convenient messenger (Telegram, Viber, e-mail) to get the technical assignment — text, logos, style preferences, photos, quantity of products, etc. — and place the order. After payment, you will be scheduled with a designer at a specific time. During this time, the designer works on your layout, sends a draft for approval, and you make corrections if necessary.
‼️ Important: During this time, you should be in touch with the designer, respond promptly, and review the intermediate results.
📍 How the offline format works
The consultant will arrange a convenient time for a meeting with the designer at the Kharkiv branch. On the scheduled day, when you arrive at the Aladdin-Print office, the consultant will meet you and guide you to the manager. The manager clarifies details, answers questions, and takes you to the designer.
It is advisable to prepare all materials in advance: texts, logos, photos, preferences. Then you work with the designer in real-time — creating the layout together. After approval, you pay at the reception, and the layout is sent for printing.
📌 Payment Terms
- Online format requires prepayment: you provide the technical assignment and pay — after that, the request is scheduled with the designer. At the scheduled time, the specialist starts working on the layout immediately — without delays or extra clarifications.
- Offline format — payment is made after the layout is approved, directly at our Kharkiv branch. You work with the designer in real-time, see all creation stages, make adjustments, and pay for the final result. No prepayments or unnecessary waiting.
📌 Reminder before a meeting or online session
Regardless of format — online or offline — the manager will call you about an hour before the scheduled time to confirm readiness for the meeting or connection with the designer.
If your plans change, please inform us in advance so we can reschedule and avoid wasting the specialist’s time.
About the brief (technical assignment)
📝 What is a brief and why is it needed?
A brief is a short, structured description of your order — in other words, a technical assignment for design. It helps the designer understand exactly what you need, avoid misunderstandings, and start working in the right direction immediately.
In the brief, you specify:
- which product you need (e.g., menu, flyer, sticker);
- format and size;
- desired style or examples you like;
- texts, logos, photos, or QR codes to include;
- special requirements — e.g., brand compliance, color restrictions, etc.
✅ The more precise the brief, the faster and better the result.
📌 Text is important
A pre-prepared and finalized text significantly speeds up the design process.
If you decide to rewrite part of the text, change the order of sections, or completely redo the content during the process — it counts as a new technical assignment and requires recalculating the cost.
📄 How to submit a brief/technical assignment?
- Provide the text in a Word file, Excel file, or as a text message in a messenger, depending on the volume and specifics of the assignment.
- For catalogs, brochures, booklets — it’s better to send a Word file as there is usually a lot of text;
- For HoReCa menus or menu corrections — Excel is preferable as it usually contains a list of items;
- For business cards, flyers, or products with a small amount of text — messenger submissions are more convenient and faster.
- Logos, images, and photos are best sent as files via Google Drive or file-sharing services (fex.net, DropMeFiles) or directly in messenger.
If it’s hard to formulate your thoughts — you can provide text or a draft, and we will help organize it.
💡 Tip: ChatGPT can help create a brief — just formulate your wishes and insert the generated text into the form.
💰 Print Design Prices at Aladdin-Print
We strive to make pricing clear, predictable, and fair.
🔹 Fixed Price
For most standard printed items — business cards, flyers, leaflets, stickers, menus, etc. — a fixed price per layout applies. You will know it before starting work, and it does not change unless the technical assignment changes.
💡 Example: business card design — fixed price including layout creation, one round of revisions, and print preparation.
🔹 Hourly Rate
If the project is complex, non-standard, or requires extensive work (multi-page catalog, presentation, redesign of an existing complex layout) — an hourly rate applies.
The designer estimates the approximate number of hours before starting, and you agree on scope and budget in advance.
🔹 How is the final cost calculated?
The final amount depends on:
- type and complexity of the product;
- volume of text and data to process;
- number of revisions;
- urgency (rush orders may have a coefficient).
🔹 When can the price change?
The price may be revised if:
- after starting, you significantly change the technical assignment (size, product type, texts);
- the order becomes non-standard or exceeds the template;
- additional revision cycles are required beyond the base cost.
In any case, we notify you in advance — no surprises on the bill.
⏳ Print Design Turnaround Times
How long does it take to create a layout?
It depends on the complexity of the task and how clearly the technical assignment is prepared.
🔹 Factors affecting turnaround:
- completeness and clarity of the brief,
- readiness of materials (logos, texts, photos),
- complexity of the product and design,
- speed of client approvals,
- format of collaboration (online or offline),
- overall workload of designers at the moment.
🧭 Examples
- Business card design: fast — 10–15 minutes if all materials are ready: text, logo, photo in the correct format. Longer — up to an hour or more if objects need to be cut from photos, illustrations found, text adjusted, or layout and fonts refined.
- Catalog design: can be done in a day if there is a clear brief, all photos are labeled and in the correct format, logo is vector or on transparent background, color palette specified, texts finalized, and client responds promptly. If materials are incomplete or arrive in parts, deadlines may increase significantly.
⏱️ Average Guidelines
| Product |
Approximate Time |
| Business card / sticker / flyer |
10 minutes to 1 hour |
| Menu, brochure |
1–2 business days |
| Catalog, brandbook, complex projects |
2–5 business days |
🟡 The better the preparation, the faster you get the finished layout.
🔴 If the order is urgent, please notify us in advance.
🖼️ Can I order only print design without printing?
Yes, of course! We can create a layout even if you do not plan to print at our printing house.
However, we must know where and how the layout will be used to:
- consider technical requirements of the printing house that will print the product;
- properly set formats, margins, resolution, and color space (CMYK/RGB);
- avoid situations where the layout is unsuitable for printing elsewhere.
For example, if you plan to print abroad, we will take into account the requirements of a specific printing house in your country.
📌 Specify these details when placing the order — it will save time and money.
🔁 Are there limits on the number of revisions?
In most cases, the design cost already includes 2–3 rounds of revisions. This is usually enough to finalize all details and prepare the layout for printing.
📌 Fixed design pricing is calculated based on average time required to create a particular type of layout — including a few adjustments.
If there are more revisions, it indicates that the project exceeds the standard workload. In this case, hourly rates apply, and the designer continues work at the agreed rate.
🟡 Specify all details in the technical assignment from the start — it helps avoid misunderstandings and saves time.
